Plantwork Systems (PWS) is a high tech, environmentally-principled company providing innovative, sustainable solutions to all sectors of the wastewater treatment industry

Our commitment as a business is to make a positive contribution to a sustainable, clean environment whilst delivering exceptional value to our shareholders and customers.

We do this by using our technical expertise and unique experience to create, supply and promote innovative products and services to both the wastewater treatment industry and the commercial sector.

Our Process

PWS technology combines new wastewater treatment design with existing processes to offer the industry ground-breaking solutions to all wastewater treatment needs.

Combining biological engineering with mechanical and electrical design, our team delivers first class results in biological wastewater treatment.

The Company has developed a range of proprietary products and processes which are PROVEN to produce higher water quality at lower cost.

Our Philosophy

Our core philosophy focuses around 5 key principles to:

● ENHANCE technology and biological processes to produce higher quality discharges from wastewater treatment plants.
● REMOVE financial barriers to clients being able to meet tighter discharge consents that are being introduced.
● RECYCLE water whenever possible to help combat the growing issue of water scarcity.
● REDUCE the energy and carbon requirements for wastewater treatment.
● SUSTAIN the environment through promotion of sustainable technology.

Our Team

Our team represents a unique combination of expert process engineering, wastewater project management experience, environmental passion and entrepreneurial spirit.  Our processes have been designed and developed by expert scientists.

In addition to our current management team below, two high-level executives have been identified and have been incentivised on an EMI share option scheme.

JOHN DE MORAES

Executive Chairman

John’s career is in Construction Management with a focus on Project Controls. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has a Masters degree in Management from Brunel University. He joined PWS in 2012 and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Company.

 

ROBERT WHITE

Managing Director

As an Ex. Army officer, Robert worked in the Defence Sector until 1987 when he became a partner in a wastewater and sludge treatment company, specialising in quality environmental solutions within the water industry.

Robert has been in the wastewater industry for over 30 years and has extensive experience in sales and marketing. In that time, he was responsible for the sale and construction of several hundred UK sewage and wastewater treatment plants, including many wastewater sequencing batch reactor plants, with a sales value of over c.£50m.

Robert founded PWS in 2010 and now leads the sales team.

DAVID DE HOXAR

Chief Engineer

David initially gained a BEng in Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield, before continuing with research which led to an MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering at the same establishment.

Following a short period working on engineering and design projects, he commenced in the water industry where he has spent the next 40 years of his career. Much of this time was spent with Welsh Water and Southern Water, where he undertook a range of design, investment planning and operational roles.

He has also written papers on Spiral Separators and leakage control. He was a finalist in the Academy of Engineering’s MacRobert Award and has won the Business Commitment to Industry Award.

David is PWS’s Chief Engineer. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that the engineering and design aspects of installations are undertaken to the required standard.

During his time with Southern Water, he invented the deHoxar Spiral Separator. The Static Sludge Thickener which PWS markets is his adaptation of this technology.

RICHARD HUGHES

Finance Director

Richard is an experienced, commercial, and strategic portfolio Non-Executive Director and Consultant Finance Director helping SME and quoted international, multi-site groups, achieve organic and acquisitive growth.
He is a proactive board and stakeholder partner, with particularly strong experience driving change, delivering, and integrating acquisitions, raising finance, governance, and cost management.

During his career, Richard has completed over twenty acquisitions and five disposals, including his own publishing business in 2015, before which he was FD, then MD of an AIM traded group, overseeing organic and acquisitive growth from £4m to £65m turnover within 3 years.

Richard is also an FCMA qualified accountant (1990), with a BSc (Hons) from Hull University.

RAJ OLIVER

Non-Executive Director

Raj began his career at Integra Life Sciences Corporation in customer services, where he eventually became the Customer Services and Logistics Director, overseeing the UK, Europe, and the United States. He was responsible for the organisation of multidisciplinary teams as well as high-value projects. Raj was also a senior member of the aggressive acquisition team to increase the Company’s product portfolio.

Raj, with a qualifying law degree (LLB (Hons)) is responsible for all commercial aspects of PWS’ projects. Raj is also Commercial Director of Dal Sterling and currently splits his time between the two companies, with the majority of the time spent in Dal Sterling.

MARTIN BAGGS

Board Adviser

Having held senior positions at Thames Water, South East Water and Southern Water, Martin brings more than 30 years of experience within the water industry to help steer PWS’ mission: to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions to all sectors of water treatment.

His wealth of expertise in water treatment and delivery, his reputation for introducing innovative infrastructure solutions, and his operational and strategic planning acumen, are a welcome addition to PWS’ operations.

MIKE STRAWSER

Board Adviser

Mike has spent the last 25 years as CEO of Valley Interior Systems, Inc headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since taking the reins, he has vigorously grown the business from revenues of $3 million with 30 employees in one office to a current revenue stream of $140 million with 800 employees in 6 locations.

As an early supporter and shareholder of PWS, Mike has joined our Board of Directors to help steer scale-up and growth strategies to continue the expansion of our global footprint.

IAN NOBLE

Board Adviser

Ian has held various director positions over the last two decades in firms that include Stantec and MWH, now part of Stantec and is well-known and respected within the water industry.

A Harvard Business School graduate, Ian brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to be PWS’ ambassador within the water and wastewater industry.
